Terms of service
Last updated October 1, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Teralyt Software LLC (“we”), which runs Minute of Fame. By using the site you agree to them. Questions: support@minuteoffame.lol.
1. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 to use Minute of Fame, and at least 18 to buy, offer, rent or cash out. One person, one account. You’re responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in email secure. Your handle must follow the content rules below; we may change a handle that doesn’t.
2. What owning a minute means
A minute is one of the 1,440 minutes of the day, counted in UTC. Owning it gives you a license to display your title, link, description, logo and start-of-minute effect on the site during that minute, every day, while you own it and the site runs. It is not ownership of time, of the site, or of anything else; it is not an investment, a security or a promise of profit. We can pause the channel, change how minutes are shown, or end the service (see section 10). Special minutes and the two minutes that belong to everyone (00:00 and 11:11) follow their own prices and rules shown on the site.
3. Buying, offers and keeping your minute
- An available minute can be claimed for the price shown. After any purchase or interception, a minute is protected from offers for 24 hours.
- Anyone can make an offer on an owned minute: Standard (20% above the minute’s current price, which is its last sale price, the owner has 48 hours), Fast (50% above, 24 hours) or Instant (100% above, completes at once). The owner can keep the minute during the window by paying the difference between the offer and the current price, plus our fee on that difference. If the window closes, the minute passes to the bidder.
- By owning a minute you accept that it can be bought from you this way: a completed offer transfers it without further consent, and you receive the price minus our fee.
- Our fee is 5% of each sale and rental. Keeping a minute against an offer costs the difference plus 5% of it; that payment goes to us, and the bidder’s held amount is released.
4. Rentals
Owners may let others rent their minute for single days, at a daily price of at least $5, up to 30 days ahead. Renters pay the rent plus a $0.75 service fee, and their content airs instead of the owner’s on that date. A booked rental airs even if the minute changes hands. If a rental is taken down for breaking the rules, it’s refunded in full and the owner isn’t paid for it.
5. Payments, refunds and disputes
Card payments are processed by Stripe. For Standard and Fast offers the amount is held on your card and charged only if the offer completes; otherwise the hold is released. Completed purchases are final, except where these terms say otherwise or the law requires a refund. If a payment can’t complete the action you paid for (for example, someone bought the minute first), it’s refunded automatically. If you dispute a charge with your bank, we may reverse what the payment bought and restrict your account while the dispute is open.
6. Your balance and payouts
- Money you earn (from sales of your minute and from rentals) goes to your balance and is held for 14 days before it can be withdrawn.
- To withdraw, you must set up payouts with Stripe, our payment provider, and pass its verification. Setting up and keeping a working Stripe payout account is your responsibility. The minimum cash-out is $25.
- If you don’t or can’t set up payouts, your balance stays on the site as credit: you can spend it on claims, offers, rentals and keeping your minutes. Credit has no cash value, earns no interest, can’t be transferred, and doesn’t expire while the site runs.
- We may correct mistakes in a balance and hold or reverse amounts tied to fraud, disputes or broken rules.
7. Content rules
Everything you publish (handles, titles, links, descriptions, logos, posts) is shown to a general audience of all ages. Don’t publish: sexual content; hate, harassment or slurs; violence or threats; self-harm encouragement; illegal goods or services; scams, phishing or misleading offers; impersonation of people, brands or our staff; other people’s personal information; malware; or spam. You must have the rights to what you publish, including logos and trademarks.
You keep ownership of your content and give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, resize and share it on the site and in sharing previews while it’s published, and to keep records of it.
8. Moderation
Submissions are checked before they appear, by automated rules and by an AI model, and may be held for a person to review. We may refuse, hold or remove any content, and take down a minute that viewers report, at our discretion. Removing content doesn’t remove ownership of the minute, and isn’t refunded, except for rentals as described above. If several of your submissions are refused within a day, you may be muted from submitting for 24 hours. Repeated or serious violations can lead to suspension of your account.
9. Acceptable use
Don’t interfere with the site, scrape it at scale, automate actions that are meant for people (votes, reactions, waves, reports), create accounts to get around a mute or suspension, or use the market to launder money or for any unlawful purpose.
10. Changes, suspension and ending the service
We may change these terms; if a change matters, we’ll update the date and tell signed-in users, and continuing to use the site means you accept it. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut Minute of Fame down, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice and let you withdraw any withdrawable balance during that time.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The site is provided “as is”. We don’t promise any number of viewers or any particular result, or that the site will always be available; a minute can miss an airing. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Law
These terms are governed by [state] law, with disputes in the courts of [county, state], except where your local consumer law gives you rights that can’t be waived.
